Private power wielded by corporations is far more dangerous to people than state action (the state = a theoretical representative of the common good.) The state can and should protect its citizens against the depredations of corporations. However, private corporate power exists only because it is protected by the state.
Socialism is NOT wealth redistribution. Socialism is the government protecting it’s citizens and looking after their welfare.
