Most of life is spent outside the official boundaries of work—on the margins, in the spaces we carve out for ourselves. It is in these margins that we find our true selves, where we can create, think, resist. We will not be defined by the hours we spend laboring for a wage. We will define ourselves by what we create in the time we have left.
